This is just a behind the scenes shot of my bags packed and ready to go for today’s wedding. It takes a lot of gear to be a pro! The quick list is this:
2 Canon camera bodies
7 Canon lenses
3 Canon flashes
light modifiers and gels for indoor lighting situations
2 radio remotes
batteries, batteries, batteries
oodles of flash cards, 2 GB and 8 GB
light stand
laptop and card readers
I try to bring along just enough gear to make sure I have backups of everything I need, but without going too overboard since everything has to be portable and dragged around to various locations all day. When you are looking for a photographer, always ask about the quality of their gear and if they have backup equipment. You just never know what’s going to happen!!
